The movie Tadka is officially Hindi and released on November 4, 2022, on the Zee5 OTT platform. This romantic drama movie has a duration of about two hours. Tadka is the official remake of Malayalam Salt N Pepper (2011).
Synopsis: The story of this movie is set in Goa, India.
So, the protagonist, Nana Patekar, aka Tukaram, is a middle-aged archaeologist who also loves food but feels lonely and single. Therefore, she stays with a group of friends who want her to get married anyway. One fine day, Tukaram gets a random call from heroine Shriya Saran, also known as Madhura, a Goa-based RJ who is also single. This random call from Madhura will change Tukaram’s life and give him the tadka he needs in life. What happens next makes up the rest of the story. Meanwhile, Ali Fazal, aka Siddharth, and Taapsee Pannu, aka Nicole, who is associated with Tukaram and Madhura, fall in love, but with a twist.
Tadka 2022 also stars Murali Sharma, Iravati Harsh, Rajesh Sharma, and Liliette Dubey, among others.
Bollywood Maniacs’ Opinion: The story is beautifully written and presented in a much better way. Since I hadn’t seen the original movie, I liked it more. The dialogues in this movie are mature and written to the appropriate standard for Nana Patekar and others. I enjoyed every second of the movie because the dialogues are connected. Speaking of performances, Nana Patekar has also left a mark here with her easy work.
Even Shreya’s role as a lonely soul searching for true love is commendable. Orientation work is good because it is neither too slow nor too fast. From locations to shows, everything falls into place. The cinematography is good, but it could have been much better. The editing work is also decent, as the movie is only 2 hours long and you didn’t get bored for a second. My favorite scene in this movie is the climax, where the two finally face each other. It’s a kind-hearted movie that gives a kind of vibrancy like Sirf Tum (1999). The movie was shot in 2016 and will be released in 2022. Therefore, the movie is almost 6 years late for its release, and that too on OTT. Although the movie is delayed, this movie has everything you will enjoy watching. There is hardly an acceptable song in this movie. The background score is good, which helps the film’s story flow properly.
