Shailesh Lodha discusses his reasons for quitting the hit show Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashma. The actor has this to say.
One of the most loved characters in Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah, the longest-running comedy series in India, was Shailesh Lodha, who plays the title role. The actor’s portrayal of Taarak Mehta won over a wide range of followers. But then, in recent years, the cast of the show has seen a change. Shailesh Lodha was the last to do so; actor Sachin Shroff later replaced him. Fans were extremely disappointed by his removal from the show because he played the character for 14 years and they couldn’t imagine anyone else matching his shoes. Lodha has now announced publicly that she is quitting the show.
Lodha gave his message to Siddharth Kanan by quoting a line from an Indian poet named Bashir Badr, saying, “Kuch toh majbooriyan rahi hongi, yon hi koi bewafaa nahi hota” People really aren’t loyal without a purpose, so there must be one. Shalish continued by claiming that he has been engaged with the show and has worked on it for more than 14 years. There is no denying that, because we Indians are highly emotional, we like to become attached to everything. I have a lot of passion. I’m an emotional moron. Being attached is common. It will also happen if you do something for 14 years.
Shailesh Lodha says, “It’s not like I won’t know why I’m leaving the show. I will, but just in time. “
According to an earlier story in the Indian Express, Shailesh feels that his character has been lost in the crowd and has actually moved forward with his dates, and he doesn’t feel like he has much to do.
Speaking of the show, many actors have left it, including Neha Mehta, Gurucharan Singh, and Disha Vakani. After the performance, Shailesh Lodha conducted a Hindi poetry performance titled “Wah Bhai Wah”.
