Mahesh Manjrekar is making a film based on Shivaji’s life. The title of this film is ‘Vedath Marathe Veer Daudale Saath’.

None of his films are winning. The recently released Akshay starrer ‘Ram Setu Movie’ is struggling to join the 100 crore club. It was then that Akshay Kumar decided to enter the Marathi film industry. He will play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the ruler of the Maratha Empire.

The title of this film is ‘Vedath Marathe Veer Daudale Saath’. Wasim Qureshi is producing this film. The film will be based on the story of seven brave warriors whose only goal was to fulfill Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of Swaraj.

Recently the film celebrated its Muhurta in Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, MNC chief Raj Thackeray, and others are involved in this program. It is special that Akshay Kumar will act in this film.

Akshay Kumar is entering Marathi cinema with this film.

He is happy about this. Akki spoke about this. ‘It was a dream role for me. That dream has come true. Playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji is a big responsibility. Akshay said that this is the first time I am working with Mahesh.

Mahesh Manjrekar has been working on this film for the past 7 years. It is a joy to see that Marathi movies are being released nationwide. People should know the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji. I have studied for 7 years for this film,” said Mahesh.
